My Favorite Styles!

One of my favorite outfits is the one you see above – something that you are most likely to see me in on a typical day. Comfortable and simple – a loose fitted tank top, some distressed cut off jean shorts and some black booties that will dress up this casual look. I’m also wearing my favorite double sided pearl earrings from Baubles n Gems which adds a sense of classy sophistication to any outfit.

White button-down shirts should be a staple in every girl’s closet. It’s definitely one of my personal favorites. You can dress it up and wear it business casual to the office with some pants or dress it down with a fun and playful printed skort and wear it out on a day out on the weekend like the one I have in this photo.

 

Stripes are one of my favorite prints to wear, but it’s also a tricky print because sometimes horizontal prints will make you like wider than you actually are and no one wants to look fat! This vertical stripe mini dress is made of a great fabric that isn’t too thin and won’t fly around when the wind blows. The tie at the waist cinches in my waistline creating an illusion of a smaller waist.

What girl does not like getting dolled up? One of my favorite styles is my little black dress – this black floral lace dress is perfectly fitted, yet not too tight so it won’t show if you have a little dessert on a date night out. Pairing a little black dress with a statement necklace makes me feel glam and feminine.

Damn, Nicole. Back at it again with those distressed jean shorts! I told you they were one of my favorites – here, I paired my favorite denim staple here with a simple black flowy crop top.

Crop tops in the summer time is one of my favorite items of clothing I like to incorporate in warm weather outfits, once it gets hotter than 85 degrees – the belly button is coming out. This basic black denim shorts is also something that I recycle often in the summer because of how easily it matches with everything.

Feeling like Fall

It’s starting to get a little chilly in LA, just a little bit. During the day it’s still quite warm, but once the sun goes down – it gets breezy and cool enough for me to put on a sweater and a scarf. Daylight savings was just a few weeks ago, but my body still hasn’t adjusted to the time change. I’ve been feeling super lazy and tired at all hours and taking naps all weekend. Good thing my Dreamcatcher Watch and matching bracelets are making all my Autumn outfits look super cute and helping me keep track of time. It’s the perfect accessory because it’s an arm candy bundle all in one – and it makes perfect holiday gifts.

Getting cozy, bundling up and layering are my favorite hobbies when it gets chilly making infinity scarves my favorite thing to wear during the Fall/Winter season. Aside from cute accessories and fall inspiration, I also finally tried the Kogi truck again and it was better than I remembered. The first time I had it – I remember having to wait a really long time and the tacos didn’t live up to the wait time or the hype, but this time I came across the truck in Pasadena a little after the lunch rush hour as I was on my way home and there was no line at all. The short rib and spicy pork tacos were my favorite.

Going Bananas

This is the first two-piece matching set that I’ve owned from Style Moi and I looove it – the banana print all over is so fun and cute; this outfit also came with a matching green bunny headband. Super adorable! I ventured with Christy to Fullerton and she showed me this cute little wall of greenery and cafe where we were able to snap some photos of this outfit. I paired this outfit with these bright green espadrille wedge sandals that I purchased a few summers ago from H&M.

Behind These Fences

Fences were made as boundaries to be broken down and busted into – this week I’m breaking fashion boundaries by not wearing pants haha and just rocking lingerie with some knee high socks and a flannel tied around my waist rated PG for the kiddies. I’ve never believed in pants unless its freezing outside and this outfit definitely demonstrates that no pants are the best pants. This weekend I had the pleasure of spontaneously meeting, pseudo-hiking and shooting with my girl Christy. We talked about it on Saturday and met up the next day – unfortunately, I forgot the outfits that I had prepared at home, but we worked with some of the pieces that I did bring and the results were amazing. In the photos above, I’m wearing a coral pink bralette with polka dot detailing from Forever 21 and wrapped a black and white plaid flannel button-up from Hurley around my waist.

My crystal tennis bracelet can be found here – it’s one of my favorite pieces to wear because it’s subtly sparkly and goes with all my outfits whether it be casual or dressy. These hoop earrings are not your standard round hoops, but they have a unique and edgy wave to them and are decorated with clear crystals which can be purchased here.

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

 This year I had to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mom a little early because on the actual day of Mother’s Day she’ll be away on vacation with her sister in Europe. My friend Brian did some quick Mother Daughter portraits for us which I will be printing for my mom as a Mother’s Day gift.

I also got her this adorable pendant necklace that says “I love you to the Moon & Back” from Baubles & Gems. It’s sweet, simple and perfect for everyday wear.

My mom like most women loves flowers, so a bouquet of flowers although may be a bit cliche, it’s still always a good idea. Peonies are our favorite flowers – but it’s not always so readily available in LA so sometimes I prefer to gift her with fresh potted flowers or air plants because I know that they’ll last longer than a week!

Your mothers should have told you at least once in your lifetime that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, why not make her some yummy breakfast? I found these delicious healthy pancake recipes on Pinterest with gluten-free and vegan options for every type of Mom out there and can’t wait to try them out.

Weekend of Fun at the Mall

Pulling out my Chloe shoulder bag out from the closet – this camel colored purse goes with all my favorite summer outfits. My reflective sunglasses and acid-washed high waisted denim cutoff shorts are from Forever 21. Picked up this cute pirate-looking cold-shoulder semi-sheer top from Abercrombie – at first I wasn’t too sure about how I would wear it and thought it would make me look poofy because of the elastic part at the bottom but pairing it with some fitted denim shorts seems to make the whole outfit not seem to fluffy.

At the mall I was able to visit my little brother at work and if you haven’t gotten the chance to visit one of the Zoogamo locations to ride these adorable and fun motorized stuffed animals then you’re totally missing out! It’s not only for children and there’s so many cute animals you can choose from like a panda, the Pink Panther, a reindeer, an elephant, the cow that I rode and many more! Zoogamo also carries a variety of fun toys and activities like this clay figurines that you can DIY or Lego zoo animals and this stuffed elephant that matched perfectly with my Elephant Midi Ring.

5 Ways to Wear a Tulle Skirt – Blogger Collab with @C_Linarte

When Celine asked to collaborate on styling a tulle skirt in different ways I was super excited to make sure her accessories game was fresh for each of the fun looks that she came up with! The first look she went for was Formal – we kept it simple by adding a touch of sophisticated sparkle in a matching set of Rose Gold Netted Crystals Twist Necklace and Drop Earrings which subtly accented the neutral colors of her trenchcoat and sweater.

The second look we did was Spring Casual – where we added a pop of yellow with the Statement Bubble Necklace against a simple white button up to complement the mint green of her tulle skirt.

Third, we did a denim look to offset the femininity of the poofy tulle skirt – the denim jacket added a bit of edginess to the outfit and to top it off with some bohemian vibes we paired Celine’s outfit with a Silver Boho Statement Necklace. This silver necklace and earring set had the perfect turquoise and gold detailing, which worked perfectly tying the outfit together.

Celine’s fourth look was ballerina – and what is more ballerina-like than cute little bows! We paired her simple black ballerina outfit with a pair of easy-to-wear everyday Rose Gold Bow Stud Earrings.

The last look was a Dolly look where Celine wears her hair in a neat bun allowing us to showcase a sweet pair of White Moon Flower Hoop Earrings that paired well with her white crop top and she also wears one of our many styles of tennis bracelets available on the shop –  the Marquise Crystal Tennis Bracelet.

It’s All About the Little Things

Sparkly little things that catch your eye – it’s all about the details and the confidence of the wearer that make an outfit. Whether it be the accessories, the shoes or what not you have to make sure you wear it like you mean it. Know what I mean? I’ve been wearing this comfy little Wildfox Lost Angeles Tank at least once a week haha. The material its made out of is suuuper comfortable and the print on it is adorable as well.

I paired this outfit with dazzling vegan diamond tennis bracelets that are so sparkly in the sunlight. They dress up a casual little outfit like this one so subtly.

A Day at the Park

Exploring the many parks of Los Angeles in our favorite Spring trends.
